Wednesday saw members of the Royal Yea Golf Club playing a Par Event as Round 4 of their Summer Gender Challenge
23 players enjoyed the excellent facilities which our volunteer members are doing a fantastic job maintaining in the current hot conditions
Ken Whitfort (9) took out the days event with a great score of +3. Gary Pollard (13) and Paul Clayton (11) had fine rounds finishing with +1. Gary claiming second place on countback
Cindy Armstrong (37) was the leading lady finishing square. She took fourth place on a countback from Rob O’Halloran
The Mens team won the daily average by the slender margin 0.26
After the 4th Round the Mens Team sit on 240 points and the Ladies Team on 100 points. Next Wednesday see Round 5 a Stableford Event with the Men playing from the Red Tees with significantly reduced handicaps. A great opportunity for the Ladies Team to bounce back into contention. NOTE. Start Time for Wednesday golf is 7.00am for 7.30 hit off. If extreme heat is forecast an earlier start is encouraged
