Clear skies and warm sunny conditions last Saturday attracted a huge filed of 37 members enjoying the excellent playing conditions on offer at ‘Royal’ Yea Golf Club.
Brian Priestly (28) showed fine form posting 38 pts to win the Men’s Stableford event.
Rob O’Halloran (20) with 37 pts finished a close second and Micheal Sheather (30) took third place on countback from John Tanner (25) after both scored 36 pts.
The Ladies Stableford event was won by Captain, Jan Wealands (30) posting a fine 37 pts to win on countback from Vicky Butler (37).
In a close finish for third Meryl Connell (29) 36 pts pipped Vicki Clements (24) who had 35 pts.
Phil Armstrong took out the Club Award and Rick Wills scooped the pool in Chooklotto.
Next Wednesday’s competition sees the 4th Round of the popular Gender Challenge which is a Par comp.
Our Club play host to the first round of the 2023 Murrindindi Masters next Saturday 14th January with over 100 Members from the other Golf Clubs within Murrindindi Shire, these being Alexandra, Eildon and Marysville. Competition will be hot for prizes generously provided by the Reddrop family through their Foodworks stores.
