Gold Medal the go today!

Big day for all today not only the second round of the Championships but also the play off for the Gold Monthly Medal in contention. After a very hard year holding any such event has been difficult, all out of practice, trying to catch up on competitions that are normally held over the course of the year has put a lot of strain on all those trying to organise and for those who wish to play. Also the restrictions in being able to play quiet a headache. But it will and has been done!!.

We had 14 Ladies brave the elements. It was not a really nice day as such. Starting off overcast , humid just not knowing what to wear. Clothes on, clothes off. Usual Victorian weather. But we all survived and so very thankful that we actually got to play. Some of us got a little wet but hey beats doing the housework. The course once again credit to the volunteers looks spectacular!

For those that competed and won monthly medals only 4 got to slog it out. Adrian Anglin (15), Sharon Grogan (40), Judi Newman (49) and myself (23). Our winner for the day was the one and only Sharon Grogan (40) nett 74. Well done Sharon awesome job. Consequently Sharon also won the on the day event (money honey). Adrian Anglin won NTP and myself managed two gobblers. Sharon took home a beautiful golden rose donated by one of our wonderful Life Members Myrna Patterson. Thank you Myrna. Of Course her name on the trophy.

Four of us went to try our luck at Seymour today but alas we all came home with our tails between our legs but it was a beautiful day and the course was looking great. Wonderful to be out there! See and talk to fellow golfers! Tournaments etc have been a thing of the past. Congratulations to Marysville lady Gail Leigh for winning the main event!!

More news to come our wonderful member Sharon Grogan and winner of course is looking to raise money for golf carts to enable those who wish to play an opportunity to enjoy the game of golf even though they may have a disability or perhaps a health issue that needs a little help to get around and enjoy a game. Stay posted!!!!
