Mixed 4BBB Championship

Saturday saw 9 pairs participate in the Mixed 4 Ball Best Ball Championship at Royal Yea. Once again the predicted rain didn’t eventuate and the course played really well but a little longer than usual. Winners of the Championship were two recent new members Anthony Coleman(4) and Sharon Grogan(41) with 44 points. They received $20 each plus a wonderful Trophy each, designed and made by fellow member John Tanner. Second place went to Michael Spagnolo(7) and Di Elliott(26) with 38 points($10 each) Third on CB were Vicki Clements and Greg Clements on 35 points (1 ball each).

There was also a stableford event on Saturday for those not involved in 4 Ball. Winner with 32 points was Chris Smith(19) who won $25. Second was Rick Wills(7) with 30 points. NTP on the 18th was Alan Pell and Mark Mullaly won the Club Award.

Wednesday sees the first round of three in our Winter Gender Challenge. Starting time will be 8:30 for a 9:00 hit-off. It will be a stableford round. If not playing at 9 could you please let the Captains know.

Next Saturday July 3rd will see the second round of the NJ Murray Stableford being contested. It will also be the playoff for the Prideaux Cup between two members of our recent winning pennant team, Jonathan Fisher and Greg Clements. Round two matches in the Club Knockout should be played soon. If you haven’t arranged a round one match by July 7th then you could be both eliminated from the competition.

Chooklotto winner on Saturday was Kevin Coghlan winning $60.
