Wednesday saw 16 men, including two visitors from Warrnambool, contest a stableford round at Royal Yea. Winner on CB was Ray Partridge(27) from Michael Spagnolo(8)with 36 points. Third was Martin Lowe(15) on 35 with Gary Pollard(12) fourth on 35. There was no NTP and Ivor Brayley took out the Club Award.
Saturday saw the third round of the Sichlau Trophy, Monthly Medal and Putting Event. Due to the recent welcomed rain preferred lies on the fairway were played for the day. Winner of the Monthly Medal was Jonathon Fisher(15) with nett 66 on CB from Brian Priestly(32). Jonathon had a fine back nine being only 1 over for 35 strokes.
Third place went to morning player Brian Simmons(12) with nett 67 and he also won the putting with 24 putts!!! Russell Wealands was NTP on the 11th and Steve Rumney took out the Club Award by 1 shot from Gary Pollard. Two people took out the birdie hole on the second, Brian Simmons and Brian Priestly.
Chooklotto Superdraw was held with Brian Priestly winning a Greg Norman memorabilia ( a plastic shark), $20 to Malcolm Bett, $30 to Alan Pell and the winner was Michael Spagnolo $50.
Thursday at Yea saw 50 players from Our Dalhousie Veterans at the course. With the recent rain and great work from our volunteers, many compliments were made about our course. Many thanks to the Ladies for catering and to Jeff and Sue Aurisch for donating prizes for the raffle which raised $185 for the club on the day.
