Girl news has been a little slow with school hols and the oh so much needed rain! The green is already coming to greet us such a wonderful sight.
Firstly our pennant seems to have come to a wee standstill but still more games to go all is not lost. Chin up girls Go Yea Go!
Wed 24th April Round one of the Silver spoon done n dusted with Jan Wealands (30) 35 pts winning the day with runner up Di Elliott (26) 34 pts a close second. Jan also had NTP. Wed 1st May all was rained out including Alexandra’s Bowl cancelled the following day.
Wed 8th May saw the second and final round of the Kath Homewood Memorial completed. Before the important announcements a lovely lunch and a very informative speech from one of our Life members Myrna Patterson on the history of Kath and all her accomplishments etc. A trip down memory lane for some, for others who didn’t have the pleasure of knowing her some history. The Memorial first started in the yr 2000 so our Winner and I must say happy one was Di Elliott (26) 150 winning for the third time! Di has won 2009, 2011 and now 2019 well done Di. Close behind on 151 Vicki Clements (22) looking a little disappointed but both days were closely fought between both girls top job! Daily Winner was yours truly Karen Sangster (26) 68 runner up Adrianne Anglin (15) 72 I also won NTP.
IMPORTANT EVENT: LADIES YEA CHALLENGE BOWL! THURSDAY 16TH HOPE TO SEE LOTS OF FACES COMPETING AND HAVING FUN! HAPPY GOLFING!
