Healesville snatches Bowl from Local Team on a countback

On May 3rd Yea Golf Club held their Ladies Challenge Bowl. What a great day! The weather was perfect and the boys had done a magnificent job preparing the course!  68 ladies from 16 different clubs came to enjoy the game and hospitality.  What a game it was Healsville certainly had a day out winning the Bowl from the 2 year in a row winning local team Adrianne Anglin, Di Eliott and Vicky Clements on a countback. (104 points) Healsville continued to dominate with player Trish Roath having the best score on the day 43 points.  We were honoured to have life member Norma Tobias not only talk about the history of the bowl and its importance to the club but also to present the trophies to the winners.  Norma is happily pictured presenting ex local lady, an old tennis and golfing friend Louise Leatham with B grade trophy (36pts)  Next major event for the Ladies will be the Isobel Bett Memorial Tournament, Thursday 18th Oct 2018.

Ladies Golf Season begins at Royal Yea
