Perfect Spring Golf

On Wednesday 13 men took to the course in perfect spring weather. Unfortunately the golf wasn’t as perfect as the weather with Neil Peterson playing to his handicap and taking the daily honours with 35 points. Jonathan Fisher, 34 and Gary Pollard 33 were next best. Peter Williams took out the club award, convincingly!

The course has dried out quickly after the long damp winter and players are pleased to be getting some run at last. Preferred lies have been removed, as fairway conditions are good. The rough is also in good shape with most areas recently cut but the ball does tend to sit down a little. The greens were lightly sanded on Tuesday and have come up really well with barely a sign of any surface sand.
