Wednesday last week saw 19 men play a stableford event with in form Martin Lowe(18) 38 points winning from Anthony La Grutta(19) with 37 second on CB from Steve Rumney(23) third, Mic Sheather(21) was the best of the 36 pointers to claim fourth. Brian Priestley was NTP on the18th and Sam Wright took out the Club Award.
SATURDAY STABLEFORD RESULTS by Phil Armstrong
With several regular members away , representing Yea Golf Club at the Victorian Par 3 Championships in Kyabram, the remaining Ladies joined in with the Men to make Saturdays event a Mixed Stableford.
A field of 21 golfers assembled under clear sunny skies, but cool conditions
Rick Wills (8) was the standout, posting a very fine 39 points to collect the major prize. Greg Clements (18) showed glimpses of a return to form after a long lay off, and returned with 37 points picking up second place.
Trevor Connell (18) , Rob O’Halloran (19) both came in on 34 points , Trevor getting the nod for third place on countback. Christine Simmons (23) and Meryl Connell (21) were the best of the Ladies with 33 points apiece, Christine taking home the a couple of ball on countback. Meryl got her reward for NTP on the 10th Hole. Rick Wills was the Mens NTP on the 10th Hole. Brad Clements took out the Club Award.
