The Murrindindi Masters attracted 114 players from Yea, Alexandra, Eildon and Marysville to Royal Yea on Saturday. Proudly sponsored by the Reddrop family(Foodworks), the event held on Saturday was the third round of the tournament. Next month will be the final round conducted at Marysville GC.
Conditions were excellent for golf considering the lack of rain in the last few weeks. Yea GC had many volunteers who contributed to running such a successful day. From course preparation, registration, catering and on course services it took some coordination and Yea’s event manager Vicki Clements did an outstanding job!
Yea had several winners on the day who all received foodworks vouchers. Mens Mini Masters Winner(best mens score) was Terry Chaplin with 41 points on CB from Jono Ness who won Mens B Grade Winner plus a NTP(14th). Kevin Coghlan won the Mens C Grade with 38 points. Yea’s Sharon Grogan won the Ladies B Grade with 38 points from Cindy Armstrong on CB Runner-Up.
