Great Numbers at Golf

NEW YEARS DAY GOLF REPORT
With clear skies and bright sunshine the order of the day, 28 golfers fronted up for Wednesdays Mixed Stableford event. Most appeared in good health with no lingering signs of over celebrating the arrival of the new year. A great turnout.
Tarris Dunne (36) who has spent considerable time practicing over the past month reaped the rewards, returning to the Clubhouse with a great score of 40 points. Playing partner & visitor from Mansfield Nick Wilcox (31) made sure Tarris earned the win, also finishing with 40 points, but relegated to second place on countback.
Tony Rule (18) who is relishing his time away from the office, posted a very respectable 39 points (including a birdie on the 12th) to take out third place.
The leading light from the Ladies group was Carolyn Webber (52) who shone brightly with a wonderful 36 points, taking out fourth place.
One of our newer members Anthony La Grutta, who travels up from Yarra Glen also posted 36 points taking home 5th place on countback. Anthony also collected NTP on the 2nd Hole. There were no winners for the Ladies NTP
A special mention also to Addison Scott a 13 year old young lady, playing just her third round of Competition Golf who posted a great score of 34 points to finish in 6th place. Well done Addi.
The celebrated Club Award was given to Jeff Aurisch who has travelled far and wide over the past few weeks, looking for some Chill.

SATURDAY GOLF IN THE HEAT. Most players were finished in the morning before the high of 39 degrees later in the day. We have had lots of green fee players over the week and this trend continued on Saturday with 38 members and guests competing in a stableford round. Winner of the day was Sue Aurisch(30) with 42 points. Second on CB was Allan Coates(10) from third Kevin Coghlan(24) both with 41 points. Fourth was Neil Peterson(16) with 39 from fifth Di Elliott(28) with 37. Phil Armstrong was NTP on the 2nd and to complete a family affair Jeff Aurisch won the Club Award again.
