Round 3 of the Gender Challenge was played under clear blue skies with 27 members & guests contesting a Par Event.
Jo Clayton (22) led the charge for the Ladies coming in with a wonderful plus 4. Sue Aurisch (28) continued her great run of form , also finishing with a score of plus 4, but had to settle for 2nd place on countback.
Meryl Connell (23) continued the Ladies dominance, taking out 3rd spot with a very nice score of plus 1. Rob O’Halloran (20) was the best of the Men , and talented teenager Addison Scott (38) collected the minor placings after they both finished with plus 1.
After 3 Rounds the Team Scores are – Men 140. Ladies 115
Meryl Connell & Rob O’Halloran collected the NTP on the 11th Hole.
Club Secretary John Renehan who has been away for several weeks, made a welcome return and collected the Club Award.
Next Wednesday Round 4 of the Gender Challenge continues with a Stableford event playing off the red tees.
