Bruce Kindred Day

Twenty seven golfers played both stableford and 4 Ball on a beautiful spring grand-final holiday Friday at Royal Yea GC.. Playing from a shotgun start at 9:30am all players wore their favourite footy colours. Bruce would have worn his Magpie Colours and be very proud of his 23 Premiers!

Winner of the Mens Stableford was Gary Pollard(14) with 37 points on CB from Peter Johnston(18). Third was Mic Spagnolo(8) with 36 points. In the ladies event Jo Clayton(22) with an excellent 41 points was the winner from Vicki Clements(25) on 37 on CB from Di Holdsworth(33) third.

In the 4 Ball Best Ball the winners by 1 point were Gary Pollard/Di Elliott with 45 points. Second on CB were Mic Sheather/Vicki Clements with 44 points from Mic Spagnolo/Peter Johnston third.

NTP’s on the day went to Gary Pollard/Jan Wealands on the 2nd, Tom White/Miranda Gill on the 11th, Peter Johnston/Di Elliott on the 14th and Paul Clayton/Sue Aurisch on the 18th. President Gary spoke about the contribution to Yea GC that Bruce Kindred achieved. A life member whose legacy to the club was that he was always looking for improvement. Bruce was a volunteer, committee member and Dalhousie Veteran delegate for many years
