25 members assembled to compete in the Wednesday Stableford event.
The course is in fantastic condition and an absolute credit to the dedicated team of volunteers we have at Yea GC.
In the Mens event Mick Spagnolo (9) took full advantage of the course conditions with a scintillating round of 73 off the stick to register 42 points. Gary Pollard (15) also appreciated the extra run, coming back to the clubhouse with 40 points and taking out second place. Alan Pell (16) rounded out the place getters with a “not too shabby” 38 points.
Mick “The Barman” Sheather hit it long and straight on the 18th hole to win NTP.
John Renehan (52) collected the Club Award.
The Ladies event also produced some excellent results. None better than Khai Jarvis (38) recording a whopping 44 points. Recently returned from a European Escapade, Meryl Connell (25) was in great form also with 39 points. Vicki Clements (25), Sharon Groganong ( Phil Armstrong27) and Di “The Bandit” Holdsworth (27) all posted a very commendable 36 points. Vicki took the chocolates on countback for third place and the others had to settle for boiled lollies.
No NTP in the Ladies event.
