Murrindindi Masters Finale

Saturday saw the final round of the 2023 Foodworks Murrindindi Masters at Al;exandra GC. Twenty two Yealiens ventured to the competition with Club President Gary Pollard taking out the Mens Masters title from fellow club mate Tony Rule and Steve Berry from Alex all on CB. The best three of four rounds was the result format.

The Other great results from the Murrindindi Masters at Alex were : Ladies Mini Master: Vicki Clements $250.00, C grade Winner: Steve Rumney  $150.00,  NTP’ to Karen Sangster (who narrowly missed getting a hole in one), Vicki Clements and Neil Peterson who all received $100 voucher.  Tony Rule also won a NTP (Golf Hat and Golf Balls). Unfortunately Tony Rule missed out in the Countback for Overall Masters Winner.

Also on the weekend 9 Yea men travelled to Cobden for their first two events of their Golf Week. Saturday saw a mens stableford event with Rick Wills the best of the Yealiens with 30 points on CB from Wayne Rowe. Sunday saw 3 person ambrose played with Wayne and Rick again in the best team for Yea with 71 off the stick.

In the second Annual Bocce contest Sunday morning Kevin Coghlan took out the title defeating Rick Wills 2-0 in the final.

Last weekend Archie Armstrong went to the Dalhousie Junior Camp at Euroa GC. He was the youngest in the field and came runner – up on CB in the Primary School level competition.

Sunday at the Dalhousie Mixed 4BBB Tournament at Lancefield Vicki Clements(25) and Tom White(36) came fourth with 43 on CB from 25 pairs.
