Conditions were still wet underfoot but the holes on the hills looked playable. So a “Special” nine was played by the twelve players on Wednesday. With four lads from Broadford joining us we had 6 teams to tackle the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, then 100m Par 3 4th, the 5th and 8th again and finally the 9th. So with a 35 strokes for par, the winners Michael Spagnolo/Di Elliott won with 39/35 nett. Second were Alan Pell/Karen Sangster with 41/36 nett. Third were Jeff Ranger/Joel King with 40/36 1/8 nett. Gerry Hanson was NTP on the Par 3 4th hole.
We are hopeful with good weather Thursday that the Bruce Kindred Cup will go ahead on Friday. Carts look doubtful at this stage but a final call will be made Thursday afternoon.
