Saturday 2nd April 7 Ladies wished to lighten the load all feeling a little tired decided not to carry around too many clubs. So all chose four of them for the day just to see if they worked. Obviously Cheryl Roberts (31) thought it good idea winning with 33 points. Runner up Val Howard (50) 28 pts hope you all enjoyed the challenge girls.
Wednesday 6th the second Monthly Medal, Putting and the first round of the Silver Spoon up for contention.
The Silver spoon being a Golf Australia competition first played in 1921. Clubs each having played 4 rounds of stroke then a final play off. The winner from each club then goes onto play a final at State level. Winner presented with a case of Silver Spoons.
12 players rocked up to challenge the day! April’s Monthly Medal and the first round of the Silver spoon was won by Life Member Miranda Gill (16) 72. Very pleased having won one of the new monthly medals to add to her collection. Well done Miranda. Runner up Adrianne Anglin (12) 75 also claiming a Birdie for the day and also winning the putting with 28 putts. Margie Wright managed the only Gobbler for the day and yours truly also had a Birdie and a NTP on the 2nd. A light lunch was then enjoyed waiting for presentations.
Thursday a busy day a Team travelled to Romsey for their annual Bowl. Unfortunately not bringing home the bowl but Adrianne Anglin won A Grade on a countback and also claiming some Player of the Year points. Well done Adrianne!!!
Also on Thursday some of the Yea Girls travelled to Strathbogie for the Vets Competition. I am told they had some pretty good scores! Cheryl Roberts (31) 39 points, Val Howard (50) 37 points and Helen Burnett (44) 33 points. I sure hope there was a winner there with those great scores. Well done Ladies!
Monday we are hosting the Jean Wallder Bowl for DDGA good luck to all competing!! Wednesday 13th a round of Stroke to keep you on yours toes HAPPY GOLFING ALL!!!!!
