Karen Sangster with 37 points won Wednesday’s Mixed Stableford Event on CB from Mic Willis. Third was Brian Priestley with 36 from fourth Bill Dredge and Neil Peterson with 34 each. The Club Award went to Norm McCallum.
Wednesday also saw 19 Yealiens play beautiful MtBeauty Golf Course on the third day of the club’s annual golf week. Winner here on CB was Brendan Chenhall from Anthony Coleman with 36 points. Third and best of the Ladies was Margie Wright with 31. Bob Glenister with 30 was fourth. MtBeauty is an all volunteer club like Yea and their hospitality and welcome was greatly appreciated. They provided carts and put on a bbq for us!
Thursday saw 7 golfers play the last round at Bright Country Golf Course with Bob Glenister(defending Golf Week Champion) play an outstanding round of 40 points to win from Alan Pell 39 points. Third with 32 points was Steve Rumney with Phil Armstrong fourth with 31. The trophy for the Golf Champion of the Week was split between Anthony Coleman and Alan Pell who both scored 100 points on their best three rounds. Bob Glenister was close behind with 98.
