True Scottish Golf

On a typical day for Scots playing golf, only the true players ventured to Royal Yea for a stableford competition on Wednesday. Playing with only 4 sticks made the day even more Scottish! Winner with 39 points was Phil McArmstrong(22) from Runners-Up Willie Mac Dredge(18) with 31 points on CB from Gary “Macca” Pollard(10). There was no NTP on the 18th and Rusty MacWealands won the Club Award.

Saturday will see the second round of the NJ Murray Stableford being held. The new cards with new index ratings for both men and ladies are now in play. Relief from trees and shrubs under 2 club lengths no longer applies. Only white staked trees and garden beds are eligible for relief.

It was great to see Terry Chaplin along with Phil Wischer at the Men’s Pennant final on Sunday. I forgot to mention their support in the last report on the final.
