Wednesday evening saw about forty people attend a farewell dinner at the Royal Mail Hotel for Ray and Prue Partridge who are moving to New Zealand for their next chapter of life. Ray has been a member of Yea Golf Club for over seven years and contributed not only as a playing member but also served on the Committee and worked as a volunteer on the course especially with irrigation matters. His easy going presence will surely be missed at Royal Yea. Ray was a presented with a Yea GC JohnTanner Trophy to record his time with us.

Wednesday”s men’s golf saw 16 players participate in a Partner Pair 22 Event. Winners with 295 points were Russell Wealands(18) and Bob Glenister(9). Second were David Ngo(18) and Alan Pell(11) with 288 points. David was the Individual Stableford Winner with 36 points on CB from Bob with 36 points reach. Gary Pollard(9) was third with 32 points. Bob Glenister was NTP on the 11th and Rob O’Halloran and guest David Sandford were the Club Award winners.
