Soggy Golf No Deterrent!

Life on the Golf course is to say the least a wee bit challenging these days. Winter has really made it’s mark with only the super keen golfers up for the challenge. Sadly the girls have to report that they weren’t quite up to the task to take out the Winter Gender Challenge. Lack of members, cold and very wet conditions very trying for many but thank you to those that gave it their best shot. Especially Adrianne Anglin having successfully conquered on the last day.Well done Adrianne your a legend! Sadly no celebrating Xmas in July Lunch for anybody at the moment. The boys just have to be content with taking the title. So for us hopefully the Summer competition will be another story and just maybe the Covid Curse will have eased. At the moment it only seems to be lurking on the sidelines chanting at the bit for someone to make a mistake allowing it to ooze it’s slimy self into our midst destroying the minimal freedom we are enjoying at the moment. Stay home those infected we don’t want you!!!!!

Back onto a happy note the girls although a very small number braved the conditions to battle for another monthly medal and the 4th round of the silver spoon on Wednesday and of course our very consistent Adrianne Anglin (16) 76 pts took the honours once again proving that she will not let the elements affect her game. Congratulations and also to Vicki Clements winning the putting with 29 putts well done girls top job! Another highlight for the day new member Helen Burnett finished her last card so now has officially scored a handicap congratulations Helen. Speaking of new members we have another Robyn Parsons has joined the classy Royal Yea Ladies also eager to achieve her handicap so a Big Hee Haw to Robyn and Welcome to the bunch!!!!

Stay safe everyone, enjoy your golf and here’s to Spring getting nearer! Sun Sun Sun!!!
