Ist Day Back

Firstly, it was a superb day at Royal Yea, the course was excellent and showed the efforts of so many who prepared the course over the lockdown. Secondly, we had 23 men and 6 ladies on the course which was fantastic, since some members were put off by the predicted rain. Playing 15 minutes apart in pairs, certainly avoided any large groups on the course.

For the men, 20 players played the blue and 3 the white course. Results from both courses are combined, with white course players having lower handicaps than what they would have had on the blue course. Results overall show a lack of practice by many! The men’s winner with 33 Stableford Points was Michael Spagnolo(6) from second Neil Peterson(12) with 31. Third on CB was JeffAurisch(16) from fourth David Ngo(22) with 30 points. Fifth, also on CB, was Brian Simmons(10) from Carl Maffei(23) on 29 points.

There was no NTP on the 11th and the Club Award was won on a CB by Neil Ross from John Anstey. All players will be debited $10 payable at the end of the month.

Winnings – M.Spagnolo $57.50, N.Peterson 3 balls, J.Aurisch 2 balls, D.Ngo 1 ball and B.Simmons 1 ball.

Ladies Winner was Miranda Gill with 37 points from Adrianne Anglin with 30points. Saturday we will have the same tee times but we can play in pairs or threes. We are taking a gradual return to normality at this stage. Text names and times required to the Club Captains.
