Day one of the Tasmanian Open at Royal Mowbray in Launceston saw Jeff Aurisch(17) with 34 points destroying the pack to take a 10 point lead. The second round at Lost Farm tomorrow will see if the boys can nobble, distract or cheat Jeff out of winning the Championship.
Conditions were fine with clear skies but quite cold when the sun went behind the clouds. Russell and Pelly struggled to keep pace in the round. Unfortunately Jeff has gone to bed early and looks rock solid to maintain his form tomorrow.
