SATURDAY GOLF
Sunshine and a gentle breeze made Saturday nearly the perfect weather for golf. And with the course in excellent condition , 20 men lined up to contest the 2nd Round of the annual Barry Moore Trophy. The winner of the daily event was Greg Clements (18) with a great round of 38 points. John Phillips (18) continued his recent run of good form to post 35 points and claim second place on countback from Bob Glenister (10) also with 35 points. NTP 2nd Hole went to Andrew Bohn and Gareth Antrobus took out the Club Award.
Greg’s 38 points made him the early Clubhouse Leader in the Barry Moore Trophy with a combined total of 72 points, but round 1 leader Andrew Bohn shot 32 points to claim the award with a total of 74 points. Congratulations Andrew. Greg finished in second place and Rick Wills third with 69 points.
9 Ladies took advantage of the beautiful weather also playing Stableford. Cindy Armstrong (29) was back to her best posting 36 points to claim first place. Di Holdsworth (31) also had a fine round with 35 points to finish second. In. Third place was Sharon Grogan (20) with 33 points. Congratulations to all winners.
WEDNESDAY GOLF
There were 21 Men playing a stableford round with John Phillips(18) showing an excellent short game compiling 38 points to win from Broadford visitor Laurie Dobson(23) with 35 points. Best of the 33’s on CB were Tony. Rule(16) from Chris Keogh(29) and Brian Simmons(11). Chris won the NTP on the second and Steve Rumney took out the Club Award.
