Yea Ladies Great start to the Merry Month of May!

Another Month has hit the Yea Ladies with another whack of the winner bat! Must have something to do with the little rays of sunshine, no wind and the beautiful sound of the falling Autumn leaves landing ever so softly.

Nothing to stop the wee flight of the little round ball going far far away from the person, slamming it. Attempting to get the every inch of travel before it’s landing , hopefully in another good place. We as golfers know that that is not always the outcome, although we sure do wish it were. Thankfully for some that has been the case giving them some fantastic wins.

1st May, Wednesday, the second round of the Silver Spoon stableford, 11 ladies hoping to secure the win, graced the field on a clear Autumn day. One Lady, who has been in fine form of late had a bonza day out having 37 pts to win the day. Jo Clayton (23) well done!!

Moving right along, Thursday 2nd May, it was off to the Euroa Golf Course for their Tournament. Six Ladies represented our club, and another glorious Autumn Day awaited. Course looking spectacular, was worth the travelling. Of course, we could not go home without a shinning star to guide the way home. So, none other than another lady, who has also shown fine form of late, Margie Wright claimed the B Grade Handicap, Player of Year points and a beautiful raffle prize. Also, Di Holdsworth who has been having a stroke of luck in the raffle department took another home with her today. Congratulations girls hope you had enough room in the car for yourselves and the loot.

Back home Saturday 4th May, Monthly Medal No 4 and putting comp up for grabs. Guess what, another day to die for, what more could one wish for to play Golf. Today 10 players having a go. A little bit of a close tussle today, but the victor Di Elliott (28) winning her second for year took the honours with a fine score of 73 nett.

Closely following, Cindy Armstrong (33), hot on her heals with a 74 nett, being runner up, but not entirely going home empty handed, as Cindy won the putting comp with a great 29 Putts. Well done Girls !!! May has started off very well indeed.

Thursday 9th we are hosting our own Bowl, so lets hope we have another mighty fine day. Please note HOUSE OF GOLF WILL BE IN THE BUILDING, WITH LOTS OF GOODIES TO SHARE. HAPPY GOLFING EVERYONE!!!!
