Yea Ladies keep on gathering the Gold!

As our Season is coming to an end, it certainly has not dampened the winning streak happening with the Yea Ladies. Little like the races, everyone stampeding to the finish line in fine form. Maybe it is the weather bringing out the best? Bring out the sunshine and everyone’s spirits seem to soar, life becomes a delight, instead of the dreary confines of winter. Whatever the reason, Yay us, congratulations girls! Keep up the good work for the oncoming Gender Challenge. We don’t wish to cook lunch this year.

Saturday 18th it was off to Marysville to compete in the first round of the Murrindindi Masters, sponsored by, non other, than Foodworks. A very generously sponsored event. A big thank you Foodworks, we really appreciate your generosity. Local girls Vicki Clements and Di Elliott did not disappoint. Di winning B Grade and Vicki runner up in A grade. I am sure they will spend their winnings wisely.

Finally, our last Major event for the year 2023. The Yea Isobel Bett Tournament , proudly sponsored this year, by “Dindinaturals”. Once again, a big thank you for your sponsorship. Lots of nice products.

The Isobel Bett, a competition, best Nett Score was started in her honour by her family upon her passing in 1980 at an early age, (mid 50’s). Isobel was a tireless worker, not only for the golf club but also the community. Isobel, a President in 70, 71 and 78 represented the club in many district tournaments whilst being a member.

We were most fortunate to have had The House of Golf attend, with lots of hot bargains, gobbled up by the girls. Jason also generously gave each player a $25 gift voucher to spend at the House of Golf shop, plus, promising to come back next year, which we will look forward to! everyone loves a bargain!

Today were were very lucky to have 44 players from 15 clubs attending. Such a great day, weather just the tops, although getting a little warm towards the end (people not used to the warm yet) no one was complaining. The course, thanks to the volunteers, looked spectacular and received lots of positive comments on its appearance. Well done!! Your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Very rewarding. It is with out doubt many thanks go to all those who participated in the preparation, presentation, all that happens for the running of such an event. Including the most important part of the day. FOOD! Just what we needed after a hard day at the office. Thank you Thank you!!!!
