3 Down 2 To Go!

Monday 1st May, Round three of Pennant. Whilst back home, the girls were hosting the Division one Pennant Teams. Lucky girls they were, having soup and sandwiches for lunch. Many thanks to those who helped. The mowing, Sending the players off, a beautiful lunch etc etc. Very much appreciated. For us it was back to Kilmore to play Team Marysville. This time Myself, Margie Wright, Vicki Clements, Di Elliott and Sue Aurisch, all raring to go. Once again, we were blessed with great weather, not changing, until we were in, enjoying our lunch. Today, was always, going to be a hard one. Marysville Ladies are great competitors, plus a fun bunch of girls. We always enjoy their company and their course. Thankfully most of us got to play the entire Kilmore course, especially two, who fought till the end. It was with great anticipation, I was returning to the car park, to discover the results. The faces said it all, so I just had to do a little dance, and a big squeeze to all. So proud of the effort the girls put in. ANOTHER WIN!!!! Next week back to Seymour to battle with Team Romsey. Go Yea Girls!!!!!!!

Wednesday 3rd May, today the 3rd Monthly Medal and putting competition up for grabs. Weather a little different today, at one stage, I thought we were looking at being, a bunch of Mary Poppins, flying around the course. Thankfully it was short lived, the rain ceased, along with the strong winds, not without upsetting the game. Very testing. But with that over it was back to the grind and soldier on. Plus we knew we were in for a treat when we got back to the clubhouse. There in the kitchen, more soup etc. They didn’t eat it all Monday, Yippee! So onward and upward we went, hopefully finishing our game reasonably. 9 girls, hopeful. Today it was again another battle between Adrianne Anglin (11) and Karen Sangster (25) both on 73. Today it was Adrianne’s turn winning on a countback. Monthly Medal and the Money slipping out of my grasp. Congratulations Adrianne well done. Adrianne also went to Euroa on Thursday, coming home with some Player of the Year Points. A Star. Speaking of stars, the putting, Miranda Gill was twinkling away today, winning with 25 putts. Go Girl! Top effort. That all said and done, Here’s to keeping our winning streak going! Monday Pennant, no golf Wednesday as we are having our Annual Bowl on Thursday. Fingers Crossed! Happy Golfing everyone!!!
