After hard work on the course by Rob(fairways) and the volunteers on rough and surrounds, we were able to play on Saturday. With tee-up on fairways and preferred lies thru the green, fifteen players competed. Winner with an exceptional 41 points was Brian Simmons from second Rick Wills 37 and Cindy Armstrong 34 third. Rick Wills was NTP on the 11th and in a 3 way CB Steve Rumney won the Club Award. Last Wednesday saw 3 players complete Jan’s nine twice with Neil Peterson coming out on top.
Golf is very difficult to program at the moment with the current weather conditions. The Murrindindi Masters at Alexandra GC scheduled for next Saturday has been postponed until February. Meaning that the first round will be on January 14th here at Yea.
Wednesday’s golf is dependent on how much more rain we get! Saturday’s golf will most likely be another mixed stableford event.
