22 golfers played a 3 Person Ambrose on Wednesday. The course was in excellent condition with lots of grass cut and work done after the recent rain of last week.
With 6 x 3 Person and 1 x 4 Person team the final result went to a countback with Steve Rumney(28), Judi Newman 48 and Anthony Coleman(6) with 75(61 1/3) equal to Ken Whitfort(7), Mic Spagnolo(5) and Mic Lewis(13) having 66(61 1/3) as well. The NTP on the 2nd went to Ken Whitfort and there was no Club Award. An excellent lunch was had afterwards with over $200 donated to Anti-Cancer Research from the day.
Hopefully we don’t get too much rain before the weekend as the Men are suppose to be playing for the September Monthly Medal. The Mary Walker Day that was suppose to be played last Saturday has been postponed until the early months of next year. Reminder to everyone of the Bruce Kindred Cup that will be played on Grand Final Eve (Friday) 23rd September. It is a 4 Ball and Individual Stableford Competition and open to visitors as well as club members.
