Not many days to go before it is officially WINTER and the weather is having a trial run just to remind us all. Monday Yea having a bye held the 4th round of Pennant and the girls unlike the previous day for the bowl were greeted with the oh so familiar Yea Fog just to challenge their games. One more round to go and it is the finals. So exciting!!!!
Wednesday we had our 2 round of the Silver spoon and our 4th Monthly Medal. The Medal kindly donated by the Strath Creek Swim School. Many thanks.
14 Ladies took to the course, atmosphere heavy, grounds luscious with not much run. Quite cool to start as the headgear on many indicated and were still in place much of the day. Whatever the discomfort it quickly disappeared as we wandered by the club house to be greeted with the aroma of hot soup wafting from the kitchen. Many thanks to our Captain Jan Wealands expertise in the cooking department providing an awesome lunch.
Onto our winner well what can I say who after providing lunch should be a deserving winner none other than our Captain Jan Wealands (30) 75 nett taking the honours winning the Monthly Medal and the 2nd round of the Silver spoon. Well done Jan and thank you. Runner up Adrianne Anglin (11) and Di Holdsworth (27) both on 77 nett. No NTP Well done girls!
Few of our girls travelled to the hills of Strathbogie to play in the rain and unfortunately no winners returned only wet gear. Saturday comp this week Stableford. Then its off to Lancefield for the Pennant Team on Monday for the last round. Wednesday a 2 Person Ambrose. HAPPY GOLFING ALL Stay warm.
