Today Ladies Season first official Competition up and running! Yippee!!!!!
Although a small field participating it still was a great day. Many having other engagements to attend, 9 Ladies competed today for the Very First Monthly Medal and Putting. The day starting a little cool soon warmed up with the only hinderance being the wind. Got a tad gusty taking the little white ball to places that no one was wanting them to go. Scores indicating it was a smidgen hard at the office today. Deep down no one really minded as all were out there playing golf.
Christine Simmons took out the putting comp having 28 putts. Top effort Christine the eye was certainly on the ball today. Our very first Monthly Medal up for grabs today was won by a very pleased Lady, Di Holdsworth (26) with a 67 Nett. Go Di !!! Di also tells us that this was her very first Monthly Medal at Yea. Congratulations! Runner up was Cindy Armstrong (35) having a 70 Nett. A Wonderful start to the year.
In the absence of our Captain we would like to thank Cheryl Roberts for stepping up today taking the reins and doing a great job! Much appreciated.
Next Wednesday we are having a 4 stick Stableford. An event which will certainly test our abilities. Good Luck Girls! Tomorrow for those attending the Ruby McKenzie Salver in the hills of Woodend and the Vets held at Alexander wishing you the best of luck. Happy Golfing everyone!!
