Australia Day, Wednesday saw 23 golfers play a stableford round (not in Gender Challenge) with Brendan Chenhall(14) showing the way with 42 points. Second with 39 points was Steve Rumney(28) with Tony Rule(23) third with 38. Fourth was Jonathan Fisher(16) 37 and fifth was Anthony Coleman(7) with 36.
On Saturday at the Murrindindi Masters held at Yea, Brendan again showed his good form in a field of 79 men to win the Masters Man of the Day with 41 points. Yea also had other winners with Paul Clayton(12) 35 – A Grade Men, Phil Armstrong(21) 37 – C Grade Men, Di Elliott(27) 32 – B Grade Ladies and three R/U with Mic Sheather(35) 35 – C Grade Men, Karen Sangster(25) 36 – A Grade Ladies and Sharon Grogan(36) 32 – C Grade Ladies. Conditions were favourable with cooler temperatures after the overnight rain. Many compliments must go to the volunteers who organised and contributed to a very successful day.
