Pennant off to a great start!

Monday 26th Pennant Season has began! Division one this year! a little daunting we thought but not for the girls on Monday bagged a win 3/2 defeated Trentham Go Girls!!!!!!! Lets hope we can continue the winning streak, throw in a bit of luck just to help the cause and continue the season in top form.

Today Wednesday 28th morning beginning with the covering of fog to dampen the course lifting later in the day to a superb sunny day. Now is the time of year for layers. Start the day trying to work out who is who under all the clothing to slowly peel the layers away and discover who you are actually playing with. Does make for interesting golf. Today we were competing for the 2nd Monthly medal (stroke and putting) also the 1st round of the Silver spoon. 17 players appeared out of the fog to chart the course finally finding the sun. Todays winner Judi Newman (51) had a great day coming in with 64 nett. I am sure with those scores the handicap will be on the downward tilt. Congratulations! Winning both the Monthly medal and the silver spoon round one. Runner up Christine Simmons (23) with a 68 nett top playing girls. NTP today Penny Britton also claiming one of the gobblers today. Others Miranda Gill two, Adrianne Anglin also two. Di Elliott and Margie Wright having one a piece. Making 7 for the day. Putting not sure how it happened but lucky me (author) took out the win 25 putts on a three way countback with Miranda Gill and Christine Simmons.

Tomorrow some of us are off to Alexandra Golf Course to try a secure a win of some kind. Saturday 1st May we are holding the Jack Baynes Memorial Good luck to all!! HAPPY GOLFING EVERYONE!!!!
