Once again a very small field for Saturday Golf even so there was a winner Cindy Armstrong (48) clocked up another win having 38pts to runner up Judi Newman (51) 35 pts. Cindy will certainly be knocking off those strokes lowering her handicap very quickly. Well done.
The next peace of news well what can I say we are in awe of their fine effort. Monday 12th three girls went to Hidden Valley, the course of much water hazards. Many a ball lost over the years I can assure you. I being one of those that has contributed. I believe the day was a wee cold and a little rain fell but there has to be a winner on the day EXCITED to say the least, it was our girls Jan Wealands, Adrianne Anglin and Meryl Connell who conquered the dreaded course winning the Hidden Valley Bowl with (86pts) GO GIRLS TOP EFFORT! and not only that Meryl won B grade (31pts) to boot. Both Adrianne and Meryl also collected a few player of the year points to top the day. CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS made us all very proud.
Wednesday 14th was the first round of the Kath Homewood 36 hole aggregate. 12 players completed the 18 holes with new comer Sharon Grogan (54) having a great day out 67 strokes. Runner up Christine Simmons (23) 75 strokes. Nearest the pin Margie Wright.
After last weeks Match play for a little fun it was decided that the losers of their match had the pleasure of providing afternoon nibbles. So Miranda & Di Elliott donned the aprons Vicki had gone missing. There being much jovial banter between the girls as Di says she can’t cook fronted with an awesome sponge cake which I am told was sensational, guess there are no more excuses for Di ha ha.
Sunday the club is having a wine n dine complete with a great load of wood (chopped) for the raffle. ENJOY ALL!!! golf, food, drinks and a great meal how good does it get! HAPPY GOLFING EVERYONE!
