Veterans Golf on Thursday was held at Alexandra GC and although dry the course was pretty good with their greens being very good. Teams of three contested an Ambrose Event for the President’s Cup. Yea had two teams represented and the team of Terry Chaplin, John Anstey and Gary Pollard finished second. They had the best scratch score of 66(4 Under) but due to handicaps were second with a nett 57 2/3 . They received a watch each (not a Rolex) as their trophy. The other team of Jeff Aurisch, Alan Pell and Ivor Brayley won a ball each for 69 (nett 60 1/2).
Saturday is Foursomes day for either mixed or men’s competition. Be there from 11:30 am for hit off.
