From a field of 13 on Wednesday Bill Dredge(21) returned the best score of +2 to win the par competition. Michael Spagnolo(7) beat his mate Ken Whitford(7) on CB for second with square. Bob Glenister took out a double,, winning NTP on the second and also the Club Award with -7!
In the pairs best ball par, Russell Wealands(16) and Michael Spagnolo took out the trophy(ball each) on CB from Carl Maffei(22) and Bill Dredge(21) with +5. It was also good to see David Ngo out there playing a round to get his handicap.
In a dramatic moment on the course, some knucklehead (me) hit his third shot on the first towards the 2nd tee which was being exited by the group ahead. Even after the compulsory “fore” “fore”, my ball bounced and hit poor Russell in the back of his head! But like the tough men of Hawthorn he continued on and won the 4 ball competition!
It’s a fair target!
