
With the temperature dropping, the gender competition continued with 26 players participating on Wednesday morning. The 15 gentlemen plus 1 bloke competed against 10 of the Ladies in a stroke and putting event.
Winner of the day was Peter Johnston(16) with a nett 70 on CB from Ladies Captain Vicki Butler(38). Third was Russell Wealands(19) with 72; fourth was Rob O’Halloran(15) with 73 on CB.
Second for the Ladies was Di Holdsworth(24) with 74 nett, with Lorraine Callander(14) third on CB from Christine Simmons(22) and Cheryl Roberts(29) with 76 nett.

Fourth for the Men was Graeme “Wombat” Bryant with 73 nett. the team average went to the Men. There was no winner on NTP for two on the 10th. Carl Maffei beat the field to secure the Club Award.
The putting competition went to a countback with Peter Williams beating Bob Glenister and Gary Pollard on CB with 27putts.
The Men received 32 points to the Ladies 10 for the day. Progress scores are Men 268 Ladies 196.
Saturday sees the Murrindindi Masters staged at Royal Yea. Cooler weather should see a big attendance at the course. Gary will email starting times soon.
