Yea GC men ventured to Mansfield Golf Club for their Xmas Breakup. After overnight rain the course was in excellent condition as 14 men contested individual stableford as well as multiple pairs stableford.
Winner with 36 points was Michael “Mitch” Spagnolo(8) from Rob O’Halloran(17) with 34 points. Peter Johnston(16) with 33 was third. The ball run down to the top 10 players went to 27 points. Carl Maffei certainly improved his bunker play over the day. He won the Club Award.
Mitch and partner Ray Partridge had 54 points in the team competition to win from Peter Johnston and Neil Peterson with 53. Third with 52 were John Tanner and Alan Pell.
Golf was followed by an excellent lunch at the Club.
