4BBB to Aurisch/Redmond

Saturday saw the wettest conditions on the course this year. With preferred lies and relief from casual water, play was achievable for the twenty blokes contesting a 4BBB event and the Club Award.

Winners of the day with an excellent 42 points were Jeff Aurisch (23) and Jim Redmond (24), finishing one point ahead of Phil Armstrong (16) and Rob O’Halloran (21).

Third place went to Tony Rule (16) and Bob Glenister (10) with 40 points on countback from Andrew Bohn (5) and John Phillips (18).

Jim Redmond was nearest the pin on the 14th, while Peter Johnston and Greg Clements took out the Club Award. Best individual score was Jonathan Fisher(10) with 37 points on CB from Phil Armstrong(16).

In the knockout competition, Zach Pell defeated Paul Heyen to progress to the third round.

Wednesday’s golf saw 16 men play a par event with resident pro Anthony La Grutta(15) continue his fine form with +4 to win from Peter Johnston(15) +2, Bob Glenister(10) +2 and Michael Spagnolo(9) -1. Bob Glenister was NTP on the 14th and the lucky $10 winner of the Club Award was Phil Armstrong. Nine Ladies played the fifth Monthly Medal of the year and it was won by Margie Wright(20) with a nett 77 from second Christine Simmons(24) on nett 80.
