SPAGNOLO SHINES
Wednesday golf saw some great results in both the Mens and Ladies Competitions.
Mick Spagnolo (9) appreciated the excellent course conditions, recording 40 points to be a clear winner in the Mens Stableford event. Gary Pollard (15) and Sam Wright (30) returned with 35 points apiece, but Sam went home with the chocolates, taking out second place on countback.
The 11th green proved elusive and there were no NTP winners. Graeme Bryant and Rob Gill had a tight tussle for the Club Award, but Graeme took the honour on countback.
The Ladies competed in the first round of the Doris Chambers Foursomes. Jo Clayton and Cindy Armstrong combined to be runaway winners with 35 points. Jo and Cindy will now represent Yea GC in the State Final in October. Special mention to Khai Jarvis who recorded an individual PB with 40 Stableford points whilst playing in the Ladies event. Well done Khai, a great round.
