Saturday saw the second round of the Barry Moore Stableford Event played at Royal Yea. Their were 27 men playing including 3 visiting men from Broadford GC in the field. Winner by 5 points with a 71 total was Phil Armstrong. Proving that the Yea Golf Week certainly can improve your game! Congratulations Phil on your victory of the first board event of 2022. Second on CB with 66 was Tony Rule from third Michael Spagnolo.
Winner of the day’s stableford was John Phillips(21) with 39 points from second Jonathan Fisher(14) 36 on CB from Peter Johnston(15) third. Fourth with 35 was Tony Rule(20) on CB from fifth Anthony Coleman(7) and Michael Spagnolo(6). Club Award winner was Neil Ross and the lucky Chooklotto winner was Michael Sheather.
Seven ladies including a Broadford visitor also played a stableford event with Sue Aurisch winning on countback from Vicki Clements with 29 points.
