The Murrindindi Masters is an annual event over 4 rounds, played at each of four clubs: Eildon, Alexandra, Yea and Marysville over the summer months. Yea players dominated the 1st round of the 2024-25 Murrindindi Masters at Eildon GC. Yea golfers came home from Eildon needing Armorgard to transport the loot, which is generously sponsored by the Reddrop owned Foodworks group. From a field of 89 entries, 31 of which were from Yea GC, we had several winners:
Jeff & Sue Aurisch both had 41 points, winning the Mens and Ladies Mini Masters(best scores on the day) which won them $250 Foodworks Vouchers each. Alan Pell won Mens A Grade with 38pts. Rick Wills was A Grade Runner-up on CB with 38 as well. Vicki Clements was Runner-up in Ladies A Grade with 36 points and Vicky Butler Runner-up in the Ladies B Grade with 36 points. Penny Britton won the Ladies B grade with 37 points. Rick Wills, Sam Wright and Vicki Clements also won $50 NTP vouchers. All in all vouchers to the value of nearly $1000 to redeem at Yea Foodworks. A huge thanks to the sponsors and Eildon GC who presented their course in tip top condition.
Wednesday’s Mens golf saw the recent C Grade Champion Rob O’Halloran(22) continue his good form with 90 off the stick nett 68 to win the stroke competition from Gary Pollard(13) and Neil Peterson(18) with nett 69 each.
