With the tournament being a busy week I think everyone was looking for a wee rest as only four Ladies came to play on Saturday 25th. Lucky me had a little win with 30 points. Although, two of our Ladies were obviously resting up big for the following day. Sunday 26th. Competition held at Eildon. Our little Penny Britton, affectionally known as Penny Button, decided that she really liked Eildon’s course. Penny had a magnificent 40 pts to win B Grade. Go girl! Penny was not the only Yea Lady, that had a really good day. Being in fine form, winning at our Tournament, Vicki Clements was hot on her heels having 39 points. Handicaps going down down. Must also mention that husband, Greg Clements, also had a win. Runner up in A grade with 36 points. Would have been a happy trip home. A couple of nice wins to end the month of November.
Now officially, the beginning of Summer and the silly Season. The weather did not disappoint. Deciding to join the silly part of December and drop another load of water, cancelling our very much anticipated, first round of the Gender Challenge! Now we will have to wait until after the Merry Season slows down. Not being able to play, it was off to the coffee shop for a little social activity.
Saturday was a little unsure if we could, or what time we could play. Hoping to dodge the rain. Thankfully we were able to start at the usual time and only got a little wet during the round. 9 Ladies came to test the elements today. Some mighty fine scores being had on the day. Judi Newman (45) won the day ! 41 points. Look out Judi handicap will be heading on that downward spiral with those scores. Another member Margie Wright (26) did not disappoint the performances either, Runner up 39 points. Margie was so excited today, having a Birdie – Gobbler on the 5th, chipping in from quite a way out. An absolute highlight for her golfing expertise. Well done! Our NTP today, a lady that always manages to find one or two, Sue Aurisch. Top Job girls!!
This Wednesday coming, both girls and the boys will be absent from the course, both venturing off to other places, to celebrate the ending of this years season and to welcome this years Xmas Festivities! Have a great day guys n gals ! Happy Golfing Everyone!
