Wednesday saw the fifth round of the Gender Challenge with the Ladies taking all 85 points to take a 65 point lead in the competition. The day was Red Tee day with both Men and Ladies teeing off the red markers. Winner with 43 points was Helen Burnett(54) from second Judi Newman(49) 39, Cindy Armstrong(38) 37 third, Sharon Grogan(36) 37 fourth and Vicki Clements(22) also on 37 fifth. Best of the Men were Allan Coates and Michael Sheather with 36 points. The team average went to the Ladies 34.3 to the Men 30.9. The Club Award went to Norm McCallum. There were 36 players on the course, which reinforces the interest of our unique event.
There will be a mixed stableford event next Wednesday Australia Day and the Gender Challenge will then continue the following Wednesday.
