Bellissimo Gender Challenge Luncheon

Having played a 9 hole event the Ladies adjourned to the kitchen to prepare their penance luncheon after going down to the Men in this season’s Gender Challenge – a fun-filled, relaxed …. yet fiercely competitive (!!) annual mixed event played at Royal Yea GC during the hotter 3 summer months.

The Ladies treated the Men to a sumptuous 3 course Italian themed luncheon when they returned to the decorated clubhouse after their 18 hole Stableford Round today.

The Ladies, not only served up a great meal but they did it with style, wearing moustaches and several donning the Italian colours of red, white and green.

With many new members joining the Club over the past year, participation levels grew considerably this season with up to 50 players competing each week, reflecting the popularity of this Mixed event.

This weeks Men’s winner with 40 pts was Allan Thatcher (23) from Chris Smith (21) on 38pts and Michael Sheather and Russ Wealands next on 36. NTP was Ken Whitfort and Club Award winner was Brian Priestley.

Adrianne Anglin, Anne Baynes daughter presented her mothers perpetual trophy to Neil Peterson following his win last week.
