Since our last posting pleased to say another star is emerging!
Firstly a great day had on Footy Friday girl stars for the day Sue Aurisch 39 pts and Vicki Clements runner up 36 pts top effort girls
Wednesday the 2nd Oct a very small field due to Holidays, babysitting etc but none the less a very nice day to play golf. The last Monthly Medal contended seeing non other than Vicki Clements taking the prize with a 73 nett. Di Holdsworth winning the putting. No NTP we all looked at it but didn’t seem to want to stay on the green.
Thursday 3rd three girls travelled to the rolling hills of Strathbogie Sue Aurisch having the best day securing some player of the year pts coming 6th overall in the field well done Suzie!
Friday 4th Andrianne Anglin and myself wandered off to Gardners Run for the Doris Chambers foursomes. Although the course a little slower than usual, light rain and a little cool at times we managed to come in at the top end of the field but not good enough for the team who blitzed the course with a 48 pts.
Monday the 7th Oct being the previous years winners of the Alexander Bowl we headed back for a re run but unfortunately Adrianne was the only one who had any success being selected for the small team winners
Wednesday the 9th Oct the Championships still in play so no winners there yet. Our daily winner was a very pleased Meryl Connell having a great score 68 nett Go Meryl! Runner up Di Elliott with a 73 nett
Last but not least. TA DAH drum roll happening two brave souls ventured to the very High Hilly, cold but very pretty and also a very challenging course of Woodend! But not for one of our girls Vicki Clements who has been lurking around the podium quite regularly decided to pounce. Not only winning B Grade but coming 2nd in the overall field and also securing player of the year points! Go Vicki you have done Yea proud Congratulations! Until next time happy golfing everyone
