Spring has cerainly sprung and enjoying a round of golf at Royal Yea is now even more enjoyable! So much so that we had 18 players take to the fairways for Wednesday’s Stroke and Putting competition.
Peter Williams (21) returned a net 71 to win the day. Peter Johnston (16) and John Anstey both had 74 with Pete taking 2nd on countback. Mick Spagnolo with 75 came 4th and Bob Glenister was NTP on the 11th.
Raucous laughter was heard on the 4th where Club wag, John Tanner erected a sign directing players to the Yea Pharmacy. Pharmist David Ngo, enjoyed the joke but continues with rapid improvement in his game returning a creditable net 79….well ahead of those vying for the Club Award….which incidentally went to help Ray Partridge pay for his OS holiday.
