Yea Golfers faced a challenge today…albeit equal to everyone…Putting on sand covered, newly cored greens.
10 ladies competed in an Irish Stableford event with Adrianne Anglin and Karen Sangster taking out the prize with 45 points, 5 points ahead of the next closest pair. Adrianne won the individual competition with 37 points. Cheryl Roberts was NTP on the 14th hole. Jan Wealands took out this birdie with her 2nd shot on the first hole. The duck did a cartwheel but picked itself up and flew away.
Ten Men participated in a Stroke and Putting Competition, with the latter presenting the main challenge. Ray Partridge beat Bob Glenister on countback with a fine nett 70. Bob took out the putting comp with 30 Putts and Peter Johnston was NTP on the 14th. Rob O’Halloran took out the Club Award.
