Doc Martin (aka Dr Martin Lowe(14)) led a startling recovery today carding a gross 79 / nett 65 to see the Men sweep up all 42 points on offer, emulating the Ladies effort a few weeks back. This was probably Martin’s best round ever – well done Martin. The Ladies however are demanding he submit for a drug test!
With just one week left to play the Men now hold a commanding 70 point lead. the Ladies will now have to perform their very best in next Wednesday’s Match Play final to avoid earning the right to cook for the men the following week.
Carl Maffei, Ivor Brayley and Jeff Aurisch also carded fine scores of 69 nett with Jeff being the unlucky one not to even win a ball after a countback. Carl won NTP on the 14th hole and Neil Peterson took out the Men’s ‘Club Award’.

Marg Gouldthorpe (31) won the Ladies daily comp returning a fine nett 70 narrowly beating both Adrianne Anglin (19) and Karen Sangster (27) on countback.
Sue Aurisch, had the dubious honour of being the inaugural winner of the new Ladies ‘Club Award’ which was lovingly crafted by John Tanner. John has also expanded his creative talents to creating new oncourse sculptures. Be sure to check out his latest creation just behind the 2nd tee during your next round.
