Pelly’s budget tours saw 3 Yea golfers head to Adelaide midweek. Sam Wright, Alan Pell and Jeff Aurisch flew to town and played golf at North Adelaide, Blackwood and Stirling golf clubs over three days. Greens were fast and the ground had more bounce than Royal Yea as well as bunkers!!! Sam won on day one and Alan on CB from Jeff on day two. Total scores were all tied after 45 holes with Alan finally getting home by 5 points overall.
Staying at the Adelaide Inn in North Adelaide and travelling first class on Tiger Airways ( always looking for sponsorship) the boys hired a car from East Coast Rentals which included travelling to the Adelaide Hills for golf on the last two days.
The boys accompanied Pelly to the football on Thursday night against the Power. Suggestion for next year’s trip may be to Brisbane; the only team the Hawks might beat!
